Curriculum Site

Our aim:

To provide for all children a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum which takes

into account their diverse needs, and is enhanced by the interests and enthusiasms

of the school community.

Foundation Stage

We follow closely the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum,

which focuses on play and participation.

 Key Stages 1 and 2

We follow a themed curriculum to encourage diverse and creative 

thinking and the linking of ideas between subjects. Most theme

titles are in the form of a question and teachers display this each

half term in their classrooms.

Most themes include art, technology, geography or history and

science. Some science units that do not fit easily into a theme

are taught as a discrete subject. We are working on including

more literacy and maths into the themes
